New Graduate Student Orientation Spring 2022

Welcome New Graduate Students!

The Graduate College at Boise State University welcomes you as you begin your graduate studies. You are now part of a thriving graduate community that encourages academic excellence and encourages innovative thought. We look forward to supporting you during your journey through graduate school, beginning with the New Graduate Student Orientation on January 7, 2022.

Orientation Details

After deliberation between College leadership and consideration of all options, the Graduate College has made the decision to move the event to a wholly online format in the form of a webinar.

Orientation will still be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon, MT, and no additional action is required on your part. You will be sent an email with an invitation to the webinar.

You will still receive all the same benefits and opportunities as the in-person format. If you have any questions regarding New Graduate Student Orientation or the virtual format, please email gradcollevents@boisestate.edu or visit the newly admitted students page.

If you know of any students who wish to attend, the registration for the virtual event will remain open until Thursday, January 6 at Noon MT. They may still RSVP at the link below.

Why Graduate College Orientation? 

The Graduate College orientation will provide supplemental resources and information in addition to your academic program orientation. You will have the opportunity to:

• Connect with other new graduate students
• Learn about academic and professional development resources available through the Graduate College 
• Hear from university leaders on the importance of graduate education at Boise State
• Receive information on graduate student initiatives such as Mentoring Circles and GradWell
• Ask questions and interact with a panel of current graduate students
