Admission Standards for Returning Students
Before submitting a new application, please check your BroncoWeb account to see if you have "active" admission status and do not need to reapply. If you enrolled in classes for Spring 2005 or later, you will be considered a continuing student for up to two years after your last semester of enrollment. For example, if you enrolled in classes Spring 2006, you remain "active" until Spring 2008. When in doubt, check your BroncoWeb account.
If you attended Boise State in the past and:
- later attended another college, you need to reapply for admission.
- your previous admission was based on in-progress transcripts, you need to submit final, official transcripts from all schools attended. You also need to reapply.
If you never enrolled in a college-level course, you need to reapply for admission. Your admission will be based on the criteria used for a New student or a Transfer student.
If you have questions about this process, call the Admissions Office at (208) 426-1156, or toll-free nationwide at 1-800-824-7017.
Required Materials for Returning Student Undergraduate Admission
If you were not enrolled at Boise State after January 2005, you need to reapply for admission. To be considered for re-admission, you must provide by the deadline the following materials:
- Application for Undergraduate Admission.
- Submit any of the following items which you did not submit before. Boise State retains admission materials for five years after the last semester you attended classes. Call the Admissions Office for more information.
- One-time, nonrefundable $40 application fee.
- Official transcript from each college or university attended. We have a form you may use to request your transcript. If you have attended a high school or university located outside the United States, we have additional information to share with you.
- Official high school transcript showing date of graduation or GED test scores, if you have fewer than 14 college credits.
- Official ACT (American College Test) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) results are not required if you're 21 or older. Otherwise, test scores may be posted on your high school transcript or received directly from the testing agency. Boise State does not require the ACT or SAT Writing Exam. If you did not include Boise State University as a recipient of these test results, you will need to contact the testing agency [Request ACT results or Request SAT results].
If you have questions about this process, call the Admissions Office at (208) 426-1156, or toll-free nationwide at 1-800-824-7017.
