REQUIREMENTS FOR PROVISIONAL STUDENTS

If you are admitted to Boise State University with Provisional Status, you are required to complete 14 credits of specific course work within three semesters. The 14 credits must include one English composition course plus one class from each of the three General Education Core areas (Arts/Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences/Mathematics). You must earn a grade of "C-" or better in each of these classes.

For a complete list of core courses you can choose from to fulfill the Provisional requirements, click here. Please refer to the Boise State Catalog to find the number of credits for each class. Students who have not completed the requirements by the end of their third semester will be changed to nondegree-seeking status. Nondegree-seeking students are limited to a maximum of seven credits or two classes each semester and they are not eligible for financial aid. Contact the Academic Support Center at (208) 426-4049 to discuss how you will meet these requirements.
